Biography of Giuseppe Paderni
Giuseppe Paderni was born on August the 7th 1974. He earned the Laurea degree in Industrial Chemistry (score 110/110) at the “Università degli studi di Parma” (Italy) with a thesis titled: “Upper rim funtionalized cavitands as transition metals ligands”.
After a short experience at the “Heriot-Watt University” Edinburgh (UK), with a research scholarship in the field of the “Synthesis and characterization of deuterated polymers to be used for QENS (Quasi Elastic Neutron Scattering)”, he built up his working experience in two industrial companies: from the year 2001 to 2006 at “CF Gomma s.p.a.” as Researcher/ Formulation Technologist, then, from 2006 to 2015, at “Industre Polieco – MPB s.r.l.” as Senior Technologist.
Moved to Montenegro with his family during the year 2015, he spent a short period at the company “Hemko” as Technologist, acting as production manager and leading a small group of 8 workers.
From September 2017, he is the Director of the Food Quality and Food Safety Laboratory of the Faculty of Food Technology, Food safety and Ecology, University of Donja Gorica. Here he is the technical and quality manager of the laboratory (ISO 17025 accredited), managing the laboratory work, from the sample receiving to the final reports and selecting and validating the analytical methods. Furthermore, he follows and manages the work of students and other researchers in the laboratory.
From February 2022, he also got the position of Assistant Director of the “Centre of Excellence for Digitalisation of Microbial Food Safety Risk Assessment and Quality Parameters for Accurate Food Authenticity Certification” (FoodHub). The FoodHub is a research programme where the Faculty of Food Technology, Food safety and Ecology and the Faculty for Information Systems and Technologies join their expertise to implement the newest digital technologies into the whole food chain.
As Assistant Director, He coordinates the different activities within FoodHub, participates at the research activities as researcher as well as contact point in most of the project and contributes in the dissemination and communication of FoodHub activities and achievements.
