Prof. dr Đorđe Okanović

Rođen 17. aprila 1952. godine u Kruševcu, a trenutno živi u Sremskoj Mitrovici i Novom Sadu. Osnovnu školu i Gimnaziju završio je u Sremskoj Mitrovici. Diplomirao je na Tehnološkom fakultetu u Novom Sadu 1978. godine, 1991. godine odbranio magistarski rad, doktorsku tezu je odbranio u oktobru 1993. godine.

Posle diplomiranja radio je u industriji mesa ,,Mitros” u Sremskoj Mitrovici do 2001. godine,  i industriji mesa "Goranović" u Nikšiću do 2003. godine, i u firmi Meat & Trade u Novom Sadu, gde je stekao i praktična iskustva između ostalog i u vezi sporednih proizvoda životinjskog porekla.

Od 2005. godine radi na Tehnološkom fakultetu, u Naučnom institutu za prehrambene tehnologije u Novom Sadu kao Naučni savetnik za naučnu oblast Prehrambena tehnologija, Tehnologija animalnih proizvoda, Tehnologija mesa, Bezbednost i kvalitet proizvoda od mesa.

Predaje Tehnologiju mesa na Visokoj tehnološkoj školi strukovnih studija u Šapcu od 2000. godine i na Univerzitetu Donja Gorica u Podgorici.

Objavio je kao autor i koautor preko 300 radova i učestvovao u izradi 16 domaćih i 8 međunarodnih naučnih projekata, ima 12 tehničkih rešenja i više Studija i tehnoloških projekata. Referisao je više od 180 radova na međunarodnim i domaćim skupovima, objavio je 61 rad u domaćim i 35 u časopisima međunarodnog značaja. Autor i koautor je dve monografije i 12 poglavlja u monografijama.

Član je naučnog odbora više međunarodnih konferencija i dva časopisa. Član je i predsednik više komisija za ocenjivanje proizvoda od mesa i nekoliko ekspertskih radnih grupa.
